Chosen Combined Axometrics + 4 Drafts of UT Environment

These images briefly shows my environment and where everything is going to be. Jacques-Yves Cousteau's studio which is going to be on the outside, ramp connecting to the meeting place which is going to be cut thru the wall and Campbell's studio which here you can see is at the very back for the time being.

My chosen axometric is basically made up of "steps" and this idea came from Campbell's quote "cloning", where they follow one after another and making specific patterns.

Electroliquid Aggregation

Jacques-Yves Cousteau
"Buoyed by water, he can fly in any direction — up, down, sideways — by merely flipping his hand. Under water, man becomes an archangel".
+
Keith Campbell
"Cloning offers a lot of benefits. I'd just like to see some of them put into practice".

Electroliquid Aggregation
"Surreal as it may be, transforming into an archangel grants man infinite strength for the impossibles when buoyed by water. By a gentle lift, he can
fly to a place where he belongs. Man can benefit from the tiniest things in the world. Constant innovations can improve our practice".

Shadows as Repetition Slides 84-86

This image portrays the use of repetition in design. The concept may be very simple but the effect of the constant clones and use of the same shape and design may bring out a special effect if used correctly through the design concept. In my opinion, repetition seems to be a more powerful tool when wanting to convey specific idea but in a much more simpler fashion. By continuously repeating an object or design, it also creates somewhat of a rhythm which people can follow with their eyes and can even lead them to other particular areas within a space.
This can be reflected upon my design of the three spaces where I used a lot of similar and repetitive shapes. By doing this, it makes my work look more harmonious and allows the design to flow smoothly. Repetition also makes the cast shadows more constant and pleasing.

Completed Datum and Stairs

Gascoigne Studio [Woodblocks]
This stair was difficult to achieve because of the many joints on the handle bars and the unity of the stairs when drawn as a whole on SketchUp. The chosen material for this is timber which relates to the noun 'woodblocks'.

Fional Hall [Spontaneous]

These are the stairs on Fiona Hall's studio which leads up to a top level. The material chosen is also timber for I felt that it can act as a medium for the two studios although the designs of the stairs are totally different in both shape and form.

This is the final datum with Fiona Hall's studio on the upper level and Rosalie Gascoigne's studio on the bottom level.
